The Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery, managed by Dr.Prashant Vaijyanath (Director of Cardio-Thoracic Surgery) & Dr. Devender Singh, has world class infrastructure. A dedicated medical team performs several surgeries and procedures with results comparable to the best in the world. The department has performed 750 major cardiac and thoracic operations during last year, of which two thirds were coronary artery bypass surgeries. Most of the CABG’s are done off pump thereby reducing post operative neurological, renal and respiratory complications for the patients.
