Dr. K. I. Joseph completed his MBBS from Ambedkar Medical College, Bangalore and took MD in General Medicine (Internal Medicine) from J.J.M.Medical College, Davangere, Karnataka State. After getting trained in the various Departments of Medicine, joined KMCH in 1993.

His areas of special interest and work includes: Preventive cardiology including Lipidology / Screening for various metabolic disorders and malignancy / Workup for significant weight loss and prolonged fever and for chronic or recent onset Aesthenia (General Weakness).
He is also in charge of Corporate Health of Executives and Non Executives of various corporate companies / Firms in and around Coimbatore and from Kerala. He screens candidates for pre-placement of various Banks / Financial Institutions / Airways / Educational Institutions and for Non-Official Pilot Trainee Screening program.
