Experience
Dr. Arshad completed MBBS degree with houseman-ship in Coimbatore Medical College in 2001. After a brief period working at GKNM Hospital, he went to the United Kingdom for further postgraduate training. He undertook a structured medical training program and obtained MRCP. Thereafter, he underwent specialty training in rheumatology, working in reputed hospitals across UK, including Leeds, Manchester and Stafford. During rheumatology registrar training, he completed a masters degree (Msc) in Rheumatology from the prestigious University of Manchester (UK). He also did a one year advanced training fellowship in Christchurch(UK), focusing on patients receiving biologics therapy for various rheumatic diseases. Thereafter, he has returned back home and joined KMCH as Consultant Rheumatologist in Nov 2019. Wealth of experience in managing all rheumatology conditions including: Rheumatoid arthritis / Psoriatic arthritis / Ankylosing Spondylitis Crystal induced arthritis (Gout / Pseudogout) Osteoporosis All connective tissue diseases including SLE Joint hypermobility syndromes Fibromyalgia Osteoarthritis In addition, fully competent in performing all the commonjoint injections and soft tissue injections.
