Brain dead 21 year old gives life to 7 persons

The deceased Mr.Jegan Age 21, survived by his Father Mr.Balasubramanian, Mother Mrs.Selvi & Elder Brother Mr. Devadeliphan living at Swaminathapuram, Dindigul District. On the fateful day 03.06.2026 night 10pm he met with an accident near Madathukulam, Immediately he was taken to nearby Government hospital for first aid treatment, then after to KMCH Avinashi Road Coimbatore, for specialized treatment. During the treatment he didn’t responded much and declared brain dead on 05.06.2026. The family stood clueless and his Father Mr.Balasubramanian, Mother Mrs.Selvi & Elder Brother Mr. Devadeliphan came forward generously to donate Mr. Jegan ’s organs.

Multi Organ Transplant Surgeons and team harvested Liver, Kidneys, Eyes, Skin and Bone from the deceased in accordance with the regulations prescribed by the Transplant Authority, Govt. of Tamil Nadu. The harvested organs i.e. One Kidney and Liver were transplanted at KMCH, One Kidney, Eyes, Skin and Bone sent to Private Hospital at Coimbatore. The family members felt proud that his organs gave new lease of lives to 7 needy people.

In honouring their gesture, Dr. Nalla G Palaniswami, Chairman, KMCH thanked the family for their bold and timely decision on organ donation. He added that this act of generosity will bring in more awareness towards this Nobel cause.
